Portfolio

For almost 60 years, Wijnimport J.Bart has been searching out and importing the best wines at the best price from a range of wine countries and regions. As a result, our portfolio has grown to over 800 wines and distillates of over 200 producers from a total of 17 old and new world wine countries. Both our customers and we have enjoyed working together for decades with many of these producers. Just like Wijnimport J.Bart itself, many producers are family businesses that have great respect for wine and the environment.

Our portfolio is broad and comprehensive. This enables Wijnimport J.Bart to meet almost any demand, from a good glass of house wine, to gastronomic wines, up to the highest Cru’s on a wine list. Each wine has its own story, which is told in the detailed descriptions of our wines.

All wines in our assortment are exclusively available to the hospitality industry in the Netherlands or via the QVSelect concept in cooperation with our wine specialty shops. Our wine consultants will be happy to talk you through our extensive portfolio.

So whatever you are looking for, a lively white, big red, fruity rosé, gastronomically sweet or party sparkling, Wijnimport J.Bart has many options when it comes to price, style, country and region. 

Service

At Wijnimport J. Bart, we believe that providing excellent service is an essential part of our business. Our service consists of several branches, which all have Wijnimport J. Bart’s own experts on hand to attend to our customers.

Knowledge

Our wine consultants all have a wine masters degree at the very least, which is why their basic knowledge level is high. Our wine consultants are also part of the buying team and each member has his or her own area of expertise. For example, our wine consultant Ibert van der Waal is a Magister Vini (MV) who is specialised in Spain. As a result, we have an enormous amount of up-to-date, in-house knowledge available. This knowledge is shared with the other wine consultants, the sales department and with our customers, through advice and tastings for staff and/or guests, comprehensive wine descriptions, multimedia and through our portfolio.

Wine lists

Wijnimport J. Bart has a special department for making wine lists. We can take care of anything to do with your wine list, including designing your logo or providing other information that you would like to include in your wine list, such as wine descriptions, indication of character and labels. If there are any new vintages, the wine list is updated and sent to the customer. This department can also design table cards for promotions like Wine of the Month, Asparagus Wine, Game Wine, etc.

Easy ordering

Our sales department knows its customers and our portfolio inside and out, so you can feel confident of good service when asking for advice, not only on the wines itself, but also when it comes to food pairing. Because all our wines can generally be ordered per bottle, and because we have a low minimum DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) amount of € 250,00 net, our customers are able to manage their stocks precisely.  

Own trucks & drivers

Our own drivers deliver the wines throughout the Netherlands. Many drivers have worked for Wijnimport J. Bart for years, so they have known our customers for years already as well. Our drivers will think alongside with you about possible delivery times, will put the wines away in the right place and in the right manner, can take back any returns (of corked wines, for example) and are able to act swiftly in the event of unexpected deliveries.

Producers

With regard to the producers Wijnimport J. Bart cooperates with, there is a particular set of values that is extremely important to Wijnimport J.Bart, namely: 

• A solid and long history of producing quality wines
• Having a reputation as a valued producer both in and outside of the region
• The ability to taste the terroir in the wines
• Having respect for the human race and for the environment
• A desire for long-term cooperation with Wijnimport J.Bart
• A family business, or seasoned cooperative, so that the relevant knowledge is not lost
• Being able to provide an excellent price/quality ratio.

We take pride in the fact that the producers in our assortment also hold these values high.

In line with the current developments, there are more and more producers that are biodynamic or certified organic.
